IMMUNIZATIONS:

California law requires all students to have up to date immunizations before entering any public/private school or have a medical waiver from a physician through CAIR ME on file with the school. Since January 1, 2016 personal belief exemptions for currently required vaccines are no longer valid in California (SB 277 (Pan, 2015)). Immunizations are not required for home-based private schools or independent study programs without classrom-based instruction. Personal belief exemptions FAQs. CDPH Immunization Exemption FAQs.

Students who do not have complete immunizations will not be permitted to attend school until legally acceptable records of immunizations are received and the student is deemed compliant with required immunizations or a valid exempted status through CAIR ME is provided. Nevada City School of the Arts has a strict "NO SHOTS/NO SCHOOL" policy in accordance with California state law (HSC § 120325 - 120480).
